- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Add lime juice, salt, ground cumin, and black pepper to the bowl.
- Mash the avocado mixture until smooth.
- Fold in the chopped onions, garlic, jalapeño, and cilantro.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or vegetables.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add diced tomatoes or more lime juice to taste.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container to prevent browning.
