- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- salt and pepper to taste
- In a skillet, cook the sausages over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain and mash with milk and butter.
- In the same skillet, sauté the onions until translucent, then stir in the flour.
- Gradually add the beef broth, stirring until thickened; season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the sausages over the mashed potatoes with the onion gravy poured over the top.
Notes
- For an extra flavor, add some mustard to the mashed potatoes.
