A delicious appetizer combining creamy burrata with fresh tomatoes and basil on toasted bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of crusty bread
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the bread into 1/2 inch thick pieces and arrange on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush each slice with olive oil and toast in the oven until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, combine the cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Top each toasted bread slice with a generous spoonful of the tomato mixture.
  6. Add a piece of burrata on top of each bruschetta.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
  • Use heirloom tomatoes for a variety of colors.
