- 1 head cauliflower
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup non-dairy milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
- In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, and salt. Add non-dairy milk and stir until smooth.
- Dip the cauliflower florets into the batter, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated florets on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes until golden.
- Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Once the cauliflower is done, toss it in the sesame sauce.
- Return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes to crisp up.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra heat, add Sriracha to the sauce.
- Can substitute almond flour for gluten-free option.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing.
