Tiropitakia Kourou are delectable Greek cheese pies made with flaky pastry and a delicious filling.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams feta cheese
  • 250 grams ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 100 grams butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the feta cheese, ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, and pepper until combined.
  3. Lay out a sheet of phyllo dough and brush with melted butter. Stack another sheet on top.
  4. Cut the dough into rectangles and place a spoonful of the cheese filling at one end.
  5. Fold the dough over to form a triangle and continue folding to seal.
  6. Place the tiropitakia on a baking sheet and brush with butter.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Serve warm for the best flavor.
  • Can be frozen before baking for later use.
